Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born on August 19th 1965. She is an American producer and actress. Her most well-known part is as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime drama The Closer. For her portrayal of Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. After the seventh season Sedgwick won the Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The series ended August 13th on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in the role of Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for an Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's singles (1992) The Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator therapy for families, a venture capitalist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech Therapist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian who was of English descent. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish and has said that she participates in Passover seders.
